This ‘Masterclass in Communication’ will provide a personalised program for scientific researchers, designed and delivered by Dr Shane Huntington (OAM) to address communication training gaps, specifically in early-mid career researchers. The workshop will be a combination of engaging didactic presentations inter-woven with active learning in small groups, focussing on the below three core tenets:

• Communication 101: A foundational skillset on being an effective communicator
• Grant and Job Applications: Guidelines on how to prepare, draft, and submit an effective grant or job application
• Presentation Masterclass: An active learning session on presentation skills to deliver effective presentations, reinforcing the skills learnt throughout the workshop 

At the completion of the workshop participants will have completed a training course in communication and will receive a certificate they can use to document this training. 

All participants will receive summary notes, materials, and links to many resources on the topics covered, allowing them to review and reinforce the topics covered.
